In the “Liller Hall”, a historically preserved industrial hall built in 1913,“Oldtimer” cars, motorcycles, aircraft and historic fire engines are exhibited.
The huge open space provides the possibility of presenting visitors with especially large exhibits. Please feel free to use aids such as tripods and spotlights, as long as their use does not disturb other museum visitors.

Technical Museum of Speyer
Located near the centre of the city on the grounds of the former Palatine aircraft works, it was built by the Technical Museum at Sinsheim when that original location ran out of space. In our online shop you can order tickets and vouchers for the Technik Museum Speyer and the IMAX DOME movie theatre as well as many other interesting museum items.
Can I take my dog with me?
Sorry, dogs are not allowed in the museum or the open-air ground.
Is the museum accessible to wheelchairs and baby buggies?
Most parts of the museum (parking places, restaurant, lobby with ticket office, open-air ground, ground floor of the museum halls etc.) are barrier-free.

IMAX-Filme zeichen sich durch eine sehr hohe Bild- und Tonqualität aus - dadurch garantieren wir Ihnen ein Filmerlebnis das kein Kino bieten kann. However, the upper floors of the museum halls and some of the exhibits, like the aircraft on the museum roof, are not accessible to handicapped people or persons with baby buggies.

Yes, we accept EC cards as well as major credit cards at our ticket office and in our souvenir shop.

Old technology is an invaluable cultural asset and reminds us of what we humans were and are capable of developing.
For this reason alone, you don't have to repair cars or go trainspotting in your spare time to get your money's worth at the Technik Museum Speyer. Among the gems on display are a German navy submarine, an Antonov, the largest production propeller-driven airplane ever built, a Lufthansa jumbo jet, and a Russian BURAN orbiter, the counterpart of the American space shuttle.
Since 1991, exhibits from the fields of aviation, railways, fire brigades and shipbuilding, among others, have been attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors every year to the south of Speyer, less than a kilometre from the cathedral.
The Sinsheim Museum of Technology built a second museum on the extensive site of the former Palatinate Aircraft Works, as it had reached the limits of its capacity at the original location.
In the ‘Liller Halle’, a listed industrial hall dating back to 1913, vintage cars, motorbikes, aeroplanes and historic fire engines are on display.

The Wilhelmsbau Museum
The Wilhelmsbau Museum, an autonomous“museum within a museum“, offers room for, among other things, mechanical musical instruments, fashion from the 18th and 19thcenturies, artistic dolls, as well as historical weapons and uniforms.
IMAX Dome
The IMAX DOME large-screen movie theatre is the only movie theatre with this type of construction in all of Germany.

Do you have lockers for helmets and bags?
Yes - in our museum foyer there are free lockers for helmets, motorcyclist equipment, and bags. Motorcyclists groups that need to store a lot of helmets and bags should let the museum ticket desk know - we would be happy to store your equipment in a locked storeroom.
Can I take pictures in the museum?
Taking photographs for private purposes is allowed in the Technik Museum Speyer without limitation.
